President Elect Candidate

Mona Therrien, DCN, RDN, LD

It would be an honor to be considered for the position of President-Elect for MAND. Having served numerous positions on the MAND Board including: Nominating Committee Chair, Education Chair, and Historian, I understand the vital role played by the MAND Board in ensuring that the needs of registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and nutrition and dietetic technicians, registered (NDTRs) are represented in this state. We are fortunate to have so many talented and dedicated members who are promoting nutrition and dietetics throughout Maine. My hope as President-Elect is to continue building on the work of past presidents and board members. From safeguarding our licensure to providing services to our members, finding new and exciting employment opportunities, and training a generation of new practitioners, these are all essential to maintaining a strong affiliate. I gladly welcome the opportunity to work with this wonderful community of RDNs and NDTRs.

Communications Chair Candidate

Eileen Molloy, MS, RDN, LD, CDE

I have been active on the MAND board through a variety of roles including Reimbursement Representative, Conference Chair and President. I am a strong believer in the vision and mission of MAND, and see that the role of Communications Chair plays an important part in supporting and growing our organization. I want to continue to contribute to that.

DTR Representative Candidate

Christina Watts, DTR

I would love the opportunity to contribute to the Maine dietetics community by becoming a member of the board and completing the associated duties. Being new to dietetics, participating on the board will be an educational role for me while at the same time being a contributing team member of MAND. Nutrition has played a powerful role in my life, providing treatment and improving my health and quality of life greatly. In the current situation, the world is in right now with COVID 19, I understand the important role I can play in providing support, encouragement, and empowerment to Maine's DTR's. It would be an honor to be of service to MAND in promoting optimal nutrition and health to Maine residents Thank you very much for considering me for the DTR MAND position!
