The American Dietetic Association House of Delegates Dietetic Education Task Force released its final report on June 30th.  The report, which is the result of nearly three years of work, includes 8 recommendations to create a new approach to educating and credentialing RDs and DTRs.

 

These recommendations, if implemented in whole or in part, would dramatically change our profession, and place significant new demands on our members and educational institutions.  Although implementation of any of these recommendations is subject to considerable further debate and review by the HOD, it is important that every MDA member join in this process.  As your Maine representative to the HOD, I value your input and ask that you read the report and provide me with your comments.
